Project Goals and Objectives

Help in the protection of the upper portion of the Mindanao River Basin along the municipalities of Bagumbayan in Sultan Kudarat and Surallah in South Cotabato within the period of 2 years

Outputs and Outcomes

Project launched and MOA signed; Community consultations and dialogues conducted; Networking and linkages conducted; Continuing consultations, networking and linkages conducted; 3 units of drilling machine with engine and drilling equipment were procured; 33,000 pcs of bamboo poles were procured and planted along the 11 kilometers of riverbank; 11 km of riverbank established; Purchased and planted at least 80 hills of assorted fruit trees along the riverbank; 30,000 pcs of bamboo poles were procured and planted along the 10 km of riverbank; 10 km of riverbank established; Purchased and planted at least 70 hills of assorted fruit trees along the riverbank; Accomplished and submitted the application form for patenting/IPR and identified the supporting documents needed; Documentation result of Naci Dike written and submitted; Videos, brochures, manuals, and other IEC materials are produced and made available to public; Patent/IPR on Naci Dike Technique secured; Continuing documentation on Naci Dike Technique done in target barangays; Passage of local legislation in Surallah and Bagumabayan;At least 4 BERZMC are reorganized and strengthened; Continuing strengthening of 4 BERZMC; Developed or formulated the strategic plans in at least 4 BERZMC designed to ensure the protection of the riverbanks
