Project Goals and Objectives

  • Specific Project Objectives

  • To enhance the leadership capacity of the alliance and the member People’s Organizations;

  • To strengthen the role and capacities of Bantay Bukid Brigade towards resource management;

  • To capacitate TDDARM on business management to effectively and efficiently manage the businesses and to generate income through enhanced production and marketing;

  • To increase the education and awareness campaign throughout the 3rd District of Negros Occidental in order to influence people’s participation in conservation.

    1. PO Governance Advancement and Standardization (POGAS)

    • Leadership training and organizational development of TDDARM as alliance, of each of the 8 PO members and the second liners. A 5-year road map will be drawn for each organization.

    • Networking and fund-raising skills training with an output of at least 9 proposals.

    • Review of 5-Year strategic plan

    • Review and respond to the organizational need of individual POs (Manual of Operations, networking skills etc.)

     

     

    • Conduct daily foot patrol

    • Increase support for BBB’s through provision of accident insurances, logistics support

    • Review and analysis of previous data of Biodiversity Monitoring and Evaluation

    • Provision of accident insurance

     

     

    3. Upland Conservation-oriented Agriculture and Regenerative Economic (U-CARE) system’s

    application

    • Training on Clustering Approach to Agro-enterprise – a module developed by MUAD that aims to bring the products of farmers to the market at a competitive price. The focus products will be abaca, coffee and taro or whichever is available during the training period.

  • Conduct market study on saleable abaca handicrafts which is a prerequisite to determine the appropriate product development training which will also be conducted.

    • Production of Marketing materials (brochure, calling cards) when the products are already available.

     

     

    4. Uniting People’s Organizations and Diverse stakeholders for the conservation of NNNP

    Natural resources (UPOD Na)

    • Printing of 10 billboards to be installed in the strategic areas

    • Printing of posters to be distributed to the schools and barangay halls near the park

    • Regular coordination with concerned government line agencies, Provincial Environment
