Marketing and Communications Officer

I. Background

In April 2004, the Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE) established the Fostering People’s Education, Empowerment and Enterprise or FPE3 with the aim to help sustain the conservation efforts in selected key biodiversity areas in the Philippines by means of implementing resource mobilization activities. Over the years, it had launched programs in promoting responsible tourism through its educational tours being offered by schools and private sectors. FPE3 had also ventured in forest rehabilitation projects and social enterprises in partnership with the private sectors.

To upscale its fundraising activities and other resource mobilization efforts, FPE3 is looking for a full-time MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER who will lead the planning and implementation of effective communication and marketing strategies of FPE3.

II. Major Tasks and Expected Outputs
Major tasks 
Identify effective marketing strategies to promote and sell FPE3 projects and product mix
Lead the distribution and selling of FPE3 merchandise and other products
Work with the resource mobilization manager in coordinating with donors and local partners as necessary
Helps in developing product mix and merchandise for the Foundation
Sales generated
Partnerships forged
Donors secured
Communication Campaign
Shall identify communication strategies that will best reach the target audience and donors of FPE3
Shall coordinate or partner with FPE and other institutions in the development of communication campaigns and strategies as necessary
AVPs, posters and other communication collaterals developed and distributed
Media exposures for FPE3 and the project enhanced

This is a regular position with a six-months probationary period.

III. Work Location 
The Marketing and Communication Officer will be based in the office of the Foundation for the Philippine Environment in 77 Matahimik St. Teacher’s Village, Diliman, Quezon City. He or she will report to the Resource Mobilization Manager.
He or she is also expected to be able to travel outside Metro Manila when needed.
III. Qualifications
The applicant should meet the following minimum qualifications:
  • University degree in business, social enterprise, advertising, communication and other relevant courses
  • Demonstrated experience in launching marketing campaigns utilizing traditional and digital media
  • Have been involved in fundraising, marketing or social enterprise activities
  • With significant private sector engagement
  • Demonstrated presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Fit to travel outside Metro Manila
  • Should be available by second or third week of September
